That’s the good news.
The bad news is that it’s not a stadium, but rather a high-performance center at the training facility in Alameda.
Baby steps, right? The Raiders have built something very cool. And even though there are endless questions and no solutions to their future stadium, they’ve built something high quality and permanent in the Bay Area.
This week, the Raiders moved into the 18,500-square-foot building, alongside the facility they’ve been using since 1996. The construction process took 100 days and included raising the outdoor fields 14 inches, installing drainage and turf to replace what was called “the rock.
