OAKLAND – Jack Del Rio knows how dangerous Elvis Dumervil can be on opposing offenses. The edge rusher was Del Rio’s favorite toy in 2012, during his first season as Denver Broncos defensive coordinator.
Dumervil had 11 sacks that season, one of four campaigns where he had double-digit sack totals. The last came in 2014, when he had a career-high 17 sacks for the Baltimore Ravens. The man can wreak havoc off the edge, as Del Rio is acutely aware.
“I had Elvis for a year in Denver,” Del Rio said. “He’s a terrific guy off the edge.
