BRADENTON, Fla. — The Raiders on Friday ruled three of the six cornerbacks on their active roster out for Sunday’s game against the Dolphins.
David Amerson (foot), Gareon Conley (shin) and Demetrius McCray (knee) will all be sidelined at Miami, leaving the Raiders with TJ Carrie, Dexter McDonald and Sean Smith active at the position.
Oakland does have two cornerbacks, Breon Borders and Tevin Mitchel, on its practice squad. The Raiders also plan to activate safety Obi Melifonwu from injured reserve for Sunday’s game and could attempt to get by with a shorthanded secondary.
