After the students at the East Bay Center for the Arts in Richmond sang and played instruments Monday night, Michael Crabtree walked up to the stage and was dying to follow suit.
“Man, I wish I could sing,” the Raiders’ receiver said. “Oh, man ... I wish I could. Back in the day, my mom put me in choir but I was too nervous.
“My dad used to clean buildings, and there was a church and I would go with him. I would play the piano, the drums and sing ... because nobody was in there.
