MINNEAPOLIS — Maxx Crosby arrived in the Twin Cities a little lighter in the wallet.
The Raiders rookie was fined $21,056 for a blow against quarterback Patrick Mahomes in last week’s 28-10 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, an NFL spokesman confirmed Saturday.
Crosby played 29 snaps against the Chiefs as a situational edge rusher, plus eight on special teams. He had one tackle, one assist and wasn’t credited with a hit on the quarterback.
The fine represents a substantial chunk of change for Crosby, whose salary is $495,000, which amounts to $29,118 per week over 17 weeks.
