Sunday night, while the Raiders were returning to Oakland from Denver, the team’s planned future home was under attack. A gunman opened fire on a crowd of concert goers at the Mandalay Bay Casino just across the freeway from the site where the Raiders stadium is planned.
The death toll is as of this writing is at 58, making it the largest mass shooting in US history. Hundreds more people are wounded.
The Raiders put out a statement today.
“The Raiders family is shocked and saddened by the tragedy in Las Vegas and our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, families and first responders.
