ALAMEDA — While the Raiders are determining which players don’t fit into their short-term plans, they have decided to lock up center Rodney Hudson for the longterm.
Hudson has agreed to a three-year contract extension worth $33.4 million that will make him the league’s highest paid center. The deal contains $24.4 million in guarantees.
The contract was first reported by NFL Network and confirmed by the Bay Area News Group.
Hudson, 30, has consistently graded out as one of the NFL’s top centers according to Profootballfocus and is the unquestioned leader of the offensive line, responsible for all blocking assignments and line calls.
