Raiders make most of makeshift offensive line

ALAMEDA, Calif. -- The Oakland Raiders were already without backup right tackle Austin Howard, who was inactive for Sunday’s season opener at the New Orleans Saints with an injured right ankle.

And when starting right tackle Menelik Watson went down with a groin injury late in the first half and his replacement, Matt McCants, left the game with a left knee injury late in the third quarter, the Raiders trailed, 24-10.

Talk about makeshift offensive lines.

Oakland flipped left tackle Donald Penn to right tackle, moved left guard Kelechi Osemele to out to left tackle and brought in Jon Feliciano to play left guard.
