Raiders make it official _ TJ Carrie won’t face Broncos

The Raiders will face the Denver Broncos and quarterback Peyton Manning without defensive back TJ Carrie, who was officially ruled out Friday with a chest injury.

Also ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos at O.co Coliseum were defensive tackle Justin Ellis (ankle), defensive end/tackle Denico Autry (concussion) and special teams player and running back Taiwan Jones (foot).

Carrie was hurt while returning a punt in the first quarter against the Chicago Bears, and presumably with the bye week coming up following the Broncos game will be given a chance to heal. His absence will mean an increased role for safety Larry Asante, who have 54 snaps against Chicago and will play alongside Charles Woodson.
