The news of the Raiders signing KR/PR Trindon Holliday came as a bit of a surprise, seeing as Andre Debose was widely expected to fulfill those duties.
But now we know why Holliday was brought on board. According to Bill Williamson, Debose suffered an Achilles injury during practiced, and he is being waived.

The severity of the injury is not yet known, but Achillies injuries are quite serious, and can take an extended amount of time to heal.
