Raiders Hall of Fame coach John Madden is recovering after undergoing hip replacement surgery.
The 80-year-old is currently undergoing rehab, according to NFL Network’s Steve Mariucci.
“He’s gotta get back on track, and he’ll do that,” Mariucci said via NFL.com.
Madden missed the eighteenth Madden-Mariucci Bocce Tournament, which has raised $5 million for charities over the year.
The current Oakland Raiders coach Jack Del Rio tweeted Madden from the tournament via Del Rio’s new twitter account.
Nonetheless, Madden is one of the most successful coaches in NFL history with his 103-32-7 record as head coach of the Raiders.
