The never-ending story of the Oakland Raiders efforts to relocate to Las Vegas continues to be just that — never-ending.
Roughly a month ago, the Vegas project was largely considered dead in the water. Casino billionaire Sheldon Adelson, who was instrumental in the early stages of this deal thanks to his $650 million commitment, was no longer in the picture. And his buddies at Goldman Sachs, the Plan B, weren’t going to help either.
And so, it looked like Oakland was the only option. Despite making minimal, if any progress themselves, Mark Davis seemingly had nowhere else to go.
