Raiders' Las Vegas financing plan wins approval of NFL owners

ORLANDO -- A year to the day after the Oakland Raiders won the right to relocate to Las Vegas in 2020 by a 31-1 vote, the Raiders' $1.8 billion financing plan for the Southern Nevada stadium was approved by the NFL's owners at their spring meetings.

Included in the package is a $200 million G-4 loan from the league.

"It's a big day ... exciting to see, again, a public-private partnership that has just gone so well and so smoothly," Raiders owner Mark Davis told a group of beat writers after the vote. "You've got to give (Nevada) Governor (Brian) Sandoval and (Clark County commissioner) Steve Sisolak and even Tommy White with the (Laborer's Union Local) 872 so much credit for bringing this project together and the jobs they're creating for Las Vegas and the benefits they're bringing to that community.
