Raiders’ Khalil Mack listed as defensive end on first depth chart released in advance of preseason game vs. Rams

Khalil Mack was officially listed as a defensive end rather than as a strong side linebacker on the Raiders’ first depth chart released Monday in advance of this week’s preseason game against the St. Louis Rams.

With Mack at end, Ray-Ray Armstrong is running No. 1 at strong side linebacker, with Malcolm Smith on the weak side. Smith has been limited in practice of late.

Mack played about half of his snaps as an end with his hand on the ground in pass rushing situations although listed as the strong side linebacker. Indications through training camp are that Mack, as well as rookie second-round pick Mario Edwards Jr.
