Kenny King still has the football. It rests on a mantel in his office in Dallas, a vivid reminder of the time he and Jim Plunkett improvised their way into Super Bowl lore.
Not that King needs another reminder.
He’s still amazed how often people ask about him about his touchdown in Super Bowl XV. That was nearly 35 years ago, in January 1981, and yet it remains a favorite topic among his colleagues at work — or really anytime someone realizes King is the same Kenny King who once played for the Raiders.
