Raiders defensive end Justin Tuck will miss the rest of the season with a torn pectoral, league sources said Thursday. Tuck, one of the team captains, was injured in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s loss to the Broncos.
“That’s a tough one,” safety Charles Woodson said. “Tuck is a leader amongst men. That’s not going to change, because of how he is. On the field, he is an important part of our defense and that’s going to be tough to replace.”
Tuck will have surgery soon, sources said.
Tuck, 32, had one sack and three pass deflections in five games.
