ALAMEDA — Raiders coach Jack Del Rio did his best Monday to move on not only from a one-sided loss but from having running back Marshawn Lynch called out by President Trump on Twitter and his wife Linda responding with a tweet of her own.
Del Rio, during his weekly press conference, addressed the issue in good humor before being asked about it while facing more cameras than usual.
“OK, here to recap the game (and) talk about my wife’s tweet,” Del Rio said. Del Rio said he was unaware initially that Trump had criticized Lynch, who continued his practice of remaining seated for the national anthem before the Raiders’ 33-8 loss to the New England Patriots, and then stood up for the Mexican national anthem.
