INDIANAPOLIS — For those who continue to think Jack Del Rio’s oft-stated, win-the-division goal is a pipe dream, the Raiders’ head coach would like to remind you of this: Oakland 15, Denver 12.
That, of course, was the final score of the Raiders’ Dec. 13 road upset of the AFC West-champion Broncos. It marked the next-to-last loss for Denver, which won its last five en route to the Super Bowl title, and marked a significant step for the Raiders.
“I think it helps you realize (winning the division) isn’t something that’s so far away,” Del Rio said Wednesday at the NFL combine.
