After the airing of Netflix’s “Receiver” series this month, many people pinpointed the issues of Davante Adams in the Las Vegas Raiders’ offense to playing with former starter Jimmy Garoppolo.
The series showed footage of Adams’ expressing frustration with Garoppolo’s inaccurate passing and Adams said in the series that he “signed off” on rookie Aidan O’Connell replacing Garoppolo as the starter for the final nine games of the season after Antonio Pierce took over for the fired Josh McDaniels.
There’s no doubt Garoppolo made Adams’ job difficult, but the numbers show that the Raiders were inconsistent with getting Adams involved in the game plan no matter who was the quarterback.
