In news that isn’t really news, wide receiver Rod Streater and running back Roy Helu Jr. are inactive for Thursday’s home finale against the San Diego Chargers.
Streater has been active for just two games this season and played only one (in the season opener) and will Seth Roberts (abdomen) healthy and able to play, Streater remains the odd man out.
While the issue has been address (here AND here), it’s still a question that comes up from time to time. The best way to describe it is that Streater is the Raiders’ fifth option at receiver with the emergence of Roberts and the fact that Andre Holmes possesses added special teams value (in addition to giving the Raiders a big 6-foot-4 target).
