The Oakland Raiders did get some rough news over the weekend. Three of their players went on season-ending IR, including Pro Bowl left tackle Donald Penn. Two players along their defensive line in defensive end Mario Edwards Jr. and rookie defensive tackle Treyvon Hester have been ruled out. Lastly, the Raiders have been eliminated from playoff contention.
However, the Raiders will be getting back one of the best players on Monday Night Football versus the Philadelphia Eagles in wide receiver Amari Cooper. Cooper missed two of the last three games with a bum ankle suffered in Week 12’s home win over the Denver Broncos.
