OAKLAND — The Raiders didn’t look despondent as they departed the Coliseum Sunday, not to return until November.
Why?
Kirk Cousins isn’t Patrick Mahomes and the Minnesota Vikings don’t play offense like the Kansas City Chiefs. You could say the same about Jacoby Brissett and Indianapolis and Mitchell Trubisky and the Chicago Bears in London.
It gets tougher on Oct. 20, when the Raiders take on Aaron Rodgers at Lambeau Field, and DeShaun Watson has done some good things for the Houston Texans, where the Raiders play on Oct. 27.
But it’s doubtful even those two could match the display Mahomes put on Sunday against the Raiders in a 28-10 win at the Coliseum.
