Raiders hire top executive from division rival

The Las Vegas Raiders are continuing to build around new head coach Pete Carroll and general manager John Spytek.

The coaching staff has continued to be worked on, but hires have been made in the front office as well.

Earlier, the Raiders hired Matt Capurro from the Seattle Seahawks to help out with coaching operations. Capurro had worked with Carroll before in Seattle, so bringing him into the organization made sense.

On Tuesday, the Raiders made another move to improve the functioning of their front office.

According to Tom Pelissero, the Raiders have hired the Denver Broncos vice president of football operations and compliance Mark Thewes.
