We’re going to have to wait until next year to see the kind of impact Oakland Raiders head coach Jon Gruden will have on quarterback Derek Carr. But one player we can already see thriving in Gruden’s offense is tight end Jared Cook whose career year earned him his first trip to the Pro Bowl. He’s also headed for free agency.
The 10-year veteran was a journeyman tight end when he came to the Raiders in 2017. He started to get the trust of Carr to the tune of a then career-high of 54 catches that went for 688 yards and two touchdowns.
