ALAMEDA — The Raiders magic number on the ground this season is 70.
Oakland is winless this season in the three games it’s rushed for 70 or fewer yards. But in the Raiders’ four wins, they’ve easily topped that total, including Sunday’s 34-20 victory over the New York Jets that saw them gain 74 yards on the ground by halftime.
“I think we definitely made a statement of what we want to be and how we want to run the ball,” running back Latavius Murray said Tuesday. “It says a lot about us and what we’re capable of.
