ALAMEDA — Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie held a “pre-draft press conference” Friday afternoon at team headquarters, but there weren’t any substantial draft nuggets with every team withholding any and all hints about their picking strategy.
McKenzie didn’t have much to add about non-draft topics either, which may make some Raider fans uneasy as they await answers on several key players.
The biggest name is star defensive end Khalil Mack, who continues to stay away from optional offseason workouts as he and the Raiders await a long-term contract extension. This isn’t a worry – yet – since the workouts are not mandatory and Mack has leverage when staying away.
