The Oakland Raiders got a jump on their offseason work by extending the contract of versatile running back Jamize Olawale.
Olawale, who was set to become a restricted free agent in the offseason, was signed to a three-year extension, the team announced. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Olawale has become a key backup. He has 110 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries. He also has eight catches for 70 yards. The Raiders use multiple offensive sets and Olawale is a part of several packages.
Olawale entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent from Dallas in 2012 out of the University of North Texas.
