OAKLAND — It’s a measure of how far the Raiders have fallen that a 14-point home loss to a division rival can be perceived as a step in the right direction.
The Los Angeles Chargers beat the Raiders 20-6 Sunday at the Coliseum, erasing any hope of a new beginning to open the second half of a lost season.
“I’m really proud of our team’s effort,” coach Jon Gruden said. “It’s hard to lose. It takes a toll on all of us. I apologize to all Raider fans, to just to assure you we will keep working.
