Raiders’ game grades against the Chargers

Offense

The Raiders averaged 7.1 yards per play and the score could have and should have been much bigger than 30-6 at halftime. Penalties (14 of them) could have been costly if Oakland wasn’t up by so many points. Amari Cooper was sensational. The offense took the fourth quarter off, but we couldn’t care less.

Defense

I know from my Twitter feed that many fans are upset that the Raiders allowed 23 points in the fourth quarter. I couldn’t care less about garbage time. Oakland bullied San Diego for three quarters, Malcolm Smith was everywhere and the secondary continues to get better.
