Offense

One of the things teams say after a loss is “give the other team credit.” And the Broncos are the top-rated defense for a reason. But the Raiders seemed to have things clicking on an 80-yard drive in the second quarter. Then, poof! The running game and Amari Cooper both disappeared and quarterback Derek Carr had two turnovers.

Defense

The Raiders held Peyton Manning without a touchdown and stopped the Broncos’ running game. When Carr fumbled the ball at the Raiders’ 16, Oakland held Denver to a field goal. Rookie linebacker Neiron Ball replaced Curtis Lofton and covered the tight end for the first time this season.
