MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. - The Raiders will not have fullback Jamize Olawale for their Sunday night primetime game against the Dolphins. Olawale is inactive due to a hamstring injury he suffered on a kickoff return last week at Buffalo.
Marshawn Lynch’s return from a one-game suspension gives the Raiders the power back they’d likely use in short-yardage situations, where Olawale appeared a couple times against the Bills. But Oakland won’t have their typical lead blocker for Lynch, who is averaging 3.7 yards per game this season.
The Raiders remain short at cornerback. David Amerson (foot) and Gareon Conley (shin) are out and Oakland waived/injured Demetrius McCray on Saturday to clear a roster spot for safety Obi Melifonwu, the rookie second-round pick who will be making his NFL debut.
