ALAMEDA — With the start of free agency less than three weeks away, a look at the 10 worst signings by the Raiders since 1993 when the salary cap era began:
1. WR Javon Walker: Coming off a season in which Walker had 26 receptions for 287 yards and no touchdowns for the Denver Broncos, the Raiders nonetheless signed the former Green Bay standout to a six-year contract worth a maximum of $55 million with $16 million guaranteed. Walker threatened retirement during training camp, only to be talked out of it by Al Davis.
