ALAMEDA — With Antonio Brown reportedly headed for Buffalo, the Raiders will turn their attention elsewhere in search of a veteran wide receiver.
Brown, according to NFL Network, was on the verge of being traded to the Bills Thursday night. Terms were not disclosed. The Raiders had been floated as a possibility — maybe even the favorite — to land a receiver who has had 100 or more receptions for six consecutive seasons but had burned his bridges with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
On his Instagram account, Brown labeled the trade as “fake news.”
The Raiders were ruled out Wednesday night as a possibility in a Bay Area News Group report.
