ALAMEDA, Calif. -- Yeah, you could say Jack Del Rio had some inside information on David Sharpe. But that's not the only reason the Oakland Raiders used their fourth-round pick in last month's NFL draft on the former Florida offensive tackle.
Del Rio's son, Luke, the Gators quarterback, did give a thumbs up on Sharpe, but the Raiders' scouting went deeper.
"He's a good young man; he's from Jacksonville," said Del Rio, who was also the Jaguars coach from 2003 to 2011. "I've been around him and known his father and him, watching them for a number of years.
