As the Las Vegas Raiders made the preparations for the upcoming NFL draft, they brought in several players for visits to their Henderson, Nevada headquarters in recent weeks.
The Raiders’ group of pre-draft visitors featured several players they could target in in the first round, where they currently own the No. 6 overall pick. For the most part, the Raiders’ pre-draft visits where spent on players who play positions the team is expected to have early interest in such as running back, wide receiver, cornerback and quarterback.
So, while visits with the likes of running back Ashton Jeanty, cornerback Will Johnson and quarterback Shedeur Sanders make sense was predictable, there was one Raiders’ visit with a top prospect that stood out — the one with LSU tackle Will Campbell.
