Remember when there was no argument needed and the Las Vegas Raiders absolutely had to use the No. 6 overall pick in the April 24-26 draft on a quarterback?
That was so January and February.
Then, Geno Smith happened.
The Raiders, of course, went the veteran route and traded for Smith from the Seattle Seahawks this month. Smith, who turns 35 during the season, is expected to be Las Vegas’ starting quarterback for the next few years.
So, that takes away the urgent need of finding a young quarterback.
Yet, there have been reports that Las Vegas could still consider taking a quarterback in the first round.
