DENVER — The rookie season of Raiders running back Josh Jacobs is over.
Jacobs, who set a franchise rookie record with 1,150 yards rushing, was downgraded from “doubtful” to “out” Saturday as he didn’t make the trip on the team charter to Denver for the Raiders’ regular-season finale.
The Raiders (7-8) have an outside shot at a playoff berth with a road win Sunday against the Broncos (6-9).
It will be the third time in the last four games Jacobs hasn’t played, battling a right shoulder injury sustained on Oct. 20 and most recently a skin procedure which the running back characterized as “surgery” on a social media post.
