Raiders’ domestic-violence policy is right

Mark Davis took a gamble on Aldon Smith and lost. Smith is suspended for a year.

Jerry Jones took a gamble on Greg Hardy and won. Hardy was suspended for only four games and is now playing for the Cowboys.

But that’s not actually accurate.

I recently talked to the Raiders’ owner about his stand on domestic violence. He’s one of the few owners in the league who has made his position perfectly clear.

“I have very strong feelings about this,” he said. “I don’t know how to fix it in society, but I know we can’t have it on our team.
