One of the most closely watched players on the Las Vegas Raiders this training camp and preseason will be third-year offensive lineman Thayer Munford.
The 2022 seventh-round pick is going to get the first crack to be the starting right tackle in 2024.
Both coach Antonio Pierce and general manager Tom Telesco have said Munford deserves the opportunity to show he can start and that plan was cemented when the Raiders chose not to upgrade at the position in either free agency or early in the draft.
So, now it’s up to Munford, who played well as an injury replacement for Kolton Miller for stretches at left tackle in 2023, to show he can handle the job.
