OAKLAND — Other than watching Dwayne Harris alertly pick up a punt at the 1-yard line and race 99 yards for the game’s first touchdown, there wasn’t a lot in terms of game details that fans will remember about their Christmas Eve win to close out the 2018 home season.
The Raiders beat the Denver Broncos 27-14 Monday night in what may or may not be the last game of a two-part, 40-year history at the Coliseum. It was sound, clinical, physical and unremarkable.
The setting, on the other hand, was unforgettable.
“It’s a home game, it’s Christmas, it’s potentially the last game in the Coliseum with the best fans in the world,” tight end Lee Smith said.
