Raiders head coach Jack Del Rio declared quarterback Derek Carr “ready to play” after Friday’s practice, clearing the way for Carr to return Sunday against the Chargers.
Carr fully participated in practice Friday; he was limited Wednesday and Thursday. The Raiders also removed him from their injury report.
Carr suffered a transverse process fracture Oct. 1 against Denver. The injury was expected to sideline him for two to six weeks, but now he’s in line to return after missing only last Sunday’s 30-17 loss to Baltimore.
“He’s ready to play,” Del Rio said of Carr. “I think it was smart to give him last week (off), and he’s good to go now.
