It was not unexpected that the Steelers offense would have success against the Raiders defense. What was a bit unexpected was just how much success they had against them. An historic amount of success surrendered by the Raiders defense.
First off it was the most yards ever surrendered in franchise history. They gave up 597 yards of offense to the Steelers. That surpassed the previous high of 593 yards surrendered which stood for 30 years almost to the day (Nov 10, 1985 vs Chargers).
Antonio Brown had 17 catches for 284 yards which was not only a Steelers franchise record, but the most yards and catches the Raiders have ever given up.
