OAKLAND – Raiders defensive back TJ Carrie didn’t practice all week, without a football activity since suffering a chest injury returning a punt seven day ago at Chicago.
He was ruled out of Sunday’s home game against Denver on Friday’s official injury report, then upgraded to questionable on Saturday afternoon. Raiders trainers liked what they saw during pregame warm-ups, deeming him healthy enough to play in this AFC West clash.
That’s a big boost to an ailing Raiders secondary matching up against quarterback Peyton Manning and top receivers. It seems likely he’ll start at safety opposite Charles Woodson, who will play his third straight game with a shoulder injury.
