Another starting receiver is out of Oakland. Thursday of their bye week saw J.J. Nelson cut, making for three of the team’s starters released just five games into the season.
The first was Antonio Brown who requested and was granted hi released two days before the start of the season. Stepping in for him was to be Nelson, who had filled in for Brown in camp while the problem child was trying to fight a losing battle with the NFL over his helmet.
The problem was Nelson had an ankle injury he had been dealing with most of the preseason, so Ryan Grant got the first start across from Tyrell Williams.
