The Las Vegas Raiders got a jump on the first NFL mandatory cut-down date as they trimmed seven players from their 90-man roster.
Tuesday, all rosters must be set at 85 players. The Raiders currently have 83 players on the roster, so they can add a couple of more players.
The players Las Vegas released Monday are: Quarterback Case Cookus, running back Bo Scarbrough, defensive tackle Ethan Westbrooks, kicker Dominik Eberle, long snapper Liam McCullough, wide receiver Caleb Scott and cornerback De’Vante Bausby.
None of the cut players were big surprises. Cookus, Scarbrough and Westbrooks are the biggest names on the list and they were all signed by the Raiders recently.
