While the Las Vegas Raiders get closer to making a decision on the starting quarterback battle between incumbent Aidan O’Connell and free-agent addition Gardner Minshew, they continued to do work behind them.
Friday, the Raiders released quarterback Anthony Brown Jr. Brown, 26, signed with Las Vegas earlier this year. Brown, who was with the Baltimore Ravens in 2022 and an undrafted free agent from Oregon, played in the Raiders’ 24-23 loss at the Minnesota Vikings last Saturday. He completed 1 of 3 pass attempts and did not look good.
The Raiders have journeyman Nathan Peterman (he was signed Tuesday) and undrafted free agent Carter Bradley behind O’Connell and Minshew.
