Shortly after the 49ers released linebacker NaVorro Bowman on Friday, Raiders punter Marquette King posted a simple tweet: two eyeballs and @NBowman53, his Twitter handle.
So will King’s team cast its gaze toward Bowman?
It makes sense, especially given Oakland’s shortcomings at linebacker. That wasn’t a strong position even before an ankle injury knocked rookie Marquel Lee out of Sunday’s game against the Chargers, and a knee injury left Cory James as questionable.
Lee and James are both listed as starters on the depth chart, alongside sixth-year veteran Bruce Irvin. Tyrell Adams and rookie Nicholas Morrow are in line for more playing time Sunday, given the injuries to Lee and James.
