Reporters have gotten used to asking Raiders head coach Jack Del Rio questions about injuries as a mere formality, given that he is as tight as he wishes his defense was.
So when Del Rio said Wednesday that defensive end Justin Tuck’s MRI was “not good,” speculation on the team captain’s injured shoulder ran wild. NFL Network reported that the Raiders “fear” Tuck tore his pectoral muscle.
Tuck is still undergoing tests, and Del Rio said, “we’ll see where it goes.”
Del Rio was already back in cryptic mode when asked if there was a timeline, and if Tuck might go on the season-ending injured reserve list.
