NAPA, Calif. -- As head coach of the Oakland Raiders, Jack Del Rio serves as a type of spokesman for, or a certain custodian of, the franchise.
But with Del Rio a kid who grew up in the East Bay, in the shadow of the Oakland Coliseum in the 1970s in the town of Hayward, the young fan in him comes out a bit when it comes to his team. Especially on weekends like this one.
Ken Stabler, who epitomized the "Badass" Raiders teams of that decade, died last summer from complications of colon cancer and was found to have suffered from CTE, will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, on Saturday.
