The Washington Redskins released former second-round pick (2013) David Amerson on Monday, and it didn’t take long for him to land on his feet.
The Oakland Raiders placed a waiver claim on Amerson today, per Ian Rapoport.
It’s not a very surprising move considering how badly the Raiders need help in the secondary, although it’s hard to say how much Amerson will help. He has struggled mightily since turning pro, but sometimes all a player needs is a change of scenery.
Amerson is healthy, so he could see the field as early as Sunday against Cleveland.
